Woody McCutchen

Woodrow "Woody" McCutchen, Portfolio Manager, has more than 25 years of experience in small business management and technical assistance, and in youth development. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of the National Association of Small Business Development Centers in Arlington, Virginia. Other career highlights include: Deputy Director of the Model Cities Churchill Economic Development Center in Richmond, Virginia; Executive Director of Control Data Minority Business Development Centers in Richmond and in Baltimore, Maryland; and the State Director, Small Business Development Centers in Maryland and in the District of Columbia. He was also a vice president of Jiffy Lube Capital Corporation and Franchise Development Manager with Jiffy Lube International.


In addition to an extensive business career, he has held positions as Social Education Director and Program Director with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, DC; Community Center Director with the DC Recreation Department; and Executive Director of the Salvation Army Boys' and Girls' Club of Richmond, Virginia.


Since joining EMCF in 2001, he has written and secured approval for grants totaling more than $100 million for an array of national, regional and local youth development organizations.


He earned an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business, and a bachelor's degree from Howard University.
