Ralph Stefano

Ralph Stefano has been with the Foundation since 1997. He oversees the Foundation’s financial and administrative activities and, as a key member of the leadership team, provides analysis and strategy on financial and management issues related to the effective implementation of the Foundation’s grantmaking strategy.


Before joining the Foundation, he held financial management positions at both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. He has 20 years experience in the nonprofit field, including serving as Controller at Community Access, a developer and service provider of housing for homeless and mentally ill, and Veritas, an operator of community-based residential drug rehabilitation centers. He also served as Assistant Controller for the Local Initiative Support Corporation, a national housing intermediary. In addition, he has served on several nonprofit boards and volunteers for various causes.


He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Pace University in 1981 and is nearing completion of his MBA in Finance. He passed the CPA exam in 1990.
