Before joining the Foundation as a portfolio associate in 2006, Rhoads worked in youth development at Friends of the Children in Seattle and Public/Private Ventures in New York City.

Rhoads also has several years of experience in dispute resolution and is currently a mediator with the Safe Horizons Mediation Program.

He earned his BA at University of Chicago, where he served as ombudsperson in 2000-2001, and an MBA in the executive program at Columbia Business School.
