Who We Are

Albert Chung

Albert Chung, Director of Communications Operations, manages the Foundation’s day-to-day communications activities and helps develop and implement its communications strategy. This includes managing the work of outside consultants and relations with the media and key staff, particularly in communications, at grantees and other foundations. Before joining the Foundation in 2001 as communications associate, he served as communications manager at the National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium (now the Asian American Justice Center), a national civil rights organization based in Washington, DC. He has also worked with the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers (now Philanthropy New York).

Chung co-chairs the New York chapter of Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, and earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University.

Nine Organizations Selected to Receive Social Innovation Fund Awards

The Edna McConnell Clark Foundation is investing up to $42 million over three years in nine organizations whose evidence-based programs promise to transform the life trajectories of thousands of low-income youth. In support of these grantees, the Foundation is establishing the True North Fund to leverage public money from the SIF and private money from the EMCF and institutional and individual philanthropic partners to effectively capitalize and expand programs that can serve more vulnerable young people.
