Foundation Performance

The Edna McConnell Clark Foundation holds itself accountable for achieving program and strategy, financial, communications, and operations milestones that are laid out at the beginning of each year. The Foundation is also exploring the creation of new metrics to measure the impact of its investments and, ultimately, its “social return on investment.”

In keeping with its commitment to reporting publicly the performance of its grantees, the Foundation is planning to recount progress toward its stated goals in new reports and publications in 2008. We believe such reporting is unique for not only a private foundation, but for most nonprofits. We plan to share information about our performance, and the lessons learned from adopting this new, more transparent approach to documenting our performance.
