EMCF Investment

Since 2006, the Foundation has invested $4.75 million grant to help Latin American Youth Center develop and implement its business plan. Over the next four years, LAYC will fully implement a rigorous performance tracking system across the entire organization, and undertake external evaluations to fully demonstrate its effectiveness.  LAYC will also address capacity and infrastructure needs so it can serve more youth with its integrated client management model, which targets youth with the great needs in the region.

LAYC: Creating Opportunities for Low-Income Immigrant and Minority Youth in the Nation's Capitol Region
Our aim is to support youth and their families in their determination to live, work, and study with dignity, hope, and joy. Many of the young people we work with face significant challenges and we help them overcome those challenges and build new skills and self-confidence,” states LAYC executive director Lori Kaplan.
