EMCF Investment and Business Plan Highlights
Since 2005, the Foundation has invested $7.25 million in Good Shepherd to help develop and implement its business plan. During this period, Good Shepherd successfully assumed 40 government contracts administered by Pius XII Youth and Family Services (which closed down), increasing its capacity by nearly 25 percent.
Good Shepherd is on track to expand its capacity to serve an additional 900 youth annually by 2009, and to open two additional alternative high schools and implement a comprehensive performance management and evaluation system across the entire organization. It has also launched a $10 million endowment campaign.
