Performance Milestones

EMCF investments include performance milestones that the grantee sets in consultation with the Foundation and to which it agrees to be held accountable. Examples of performance milestones include:

  • increasing the number of youth served in current locations
  • adding new locations to increase the number of youth served
  • completing an external evaluation
  • increasing the organization’s budget
  • codifying programs so they can be replicated with similar quality and results
  • aligning staff structure
  • formulating a leadership succession plan
  • diversifying funding sources
  • improving program performance data and using it to drive effectiveness

If an organization meets its initial performance milestones, the Foundation will consider additional grants.

Detailed reports on the performance of our grantees and of the Foundation itself can be found under Results.
