EMCF supports Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Project Upward Bound, an initiative that combines organization and Club effectiveness assessment tools with Project Learn, a program that reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school. By effectively managing this educational enhancement program, Project Upward Bound can bolster BGCA staff’s efforts to increase educational opportunities for all members.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America is also designing and implementing a highly innovative executive development initiative through its Leadership University. Its goal is to cultivate strong leaders and enable the national organization to fulfill its mission for generations to come. Developed in conjunction with the University of Michigan and Dr. Noel Tichy, this comprehensive program focuses on developing strategies for leading self, others, and the enterprise. It also helps local club leaders reach a deep understanding of board effectiveness, funding expertise, and outcome focus.
