Performance and Projections

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, with input provided by local agency leaders from across the Big Brothers Big Sisters network, completed a new business plan in 2007.

This plan redefines what success means for BBBSA, shifting the focus from “what we do” to “what we achieve,” with particular emphasis on how many children Big Brothers Big Sisters serves, which children it serves, and how well it serves them

To accomplish this, BBBSA will:

  • increase its programmatic impact by building on its established reputation and capabilities for large scale, evidence-based programs
  • further build deep resource acquisition capabilities (for both funding and volunteers) across agencies
  • intensify efforts to strengthen efforts to find and develop key "talent" to address organizational needs

To support these efforts, BBBSA will focus on two resource allocation priorities: maintaining the current significant level of grants to agencies, and strengthening BBBSA’s own infrastructure and ability to support local agencies.

BBBSA's past performance and latest projections are available in BBBSA's Performance and Projections Report
